Hi everyone,

I know it’s been a bit since I’ve posted, but it sure has been busy for me all around lately. Things have really picked up at work, so I’ve been crazily trying to deal with that. And two weeks ago, I officially started my Master’s program, and that is proving to be quite a bit of work and is taking up much of my time, as I’m sure you can imagine.

As I’ve mentioned in many of my previous blogs, running and yoga are the things I do to maintain my sanity and health. Yoga, in particular, has been crucial in helping me with the alignment issues in my body due to the mild form of scoliosis that I have. So as not to revert back to the grumpy version of myself pre-yoga and pre-running, and in order to keep the physical pain away, it is critical that I not slack in either of these areas.

In light of the above, I have had to make the very tough decision to give up teaching the majority of my yoga classes. When I teach, I don’t get a chance to actually practice, as it is more important for me to see what my students are doing and to be there for them. So starting in January, I will only be teaching regularly on Wednesdays….I’ll be keeping the two classes I currently teach on that day. However, I won’t be teaching a regular class on any other day of the week. That’s not to say I won’t be teaching here and there…I will still be able to help out and sub when I can. But I really need to focus on making it through my Master’s program and still be able to maintain my own exercise routine. If I don’t, I fear that my family will end up having me committed, because I know the stress will get to me if I can’t practice yoga or run (or the other things I do in my exercise routine).

For those of you who come to my classes, I hope you understand. I’ll still be blogging, so please keep up with me through this site. When things calm down, I definitely plan on getting back to teaching more. But for now, I definitely need to switch gears a little bit.

Peace and blessings,

Melanie
